I had called Jim about fixing some loose boards, some posts that were rotted, and others that looked like they were way too small for bearing the load of the deck of the house I had bought a couple of year ago. The previous owner had some work already done, but it was clear more was needed. My project was not urgent and I was willing to wait as I had heard many good things about Jim and his team. He came out right away to inspect and provide an estimate. Every time I called or texted him, he responded very promptly. Despite being busy, I did appreciate his consistency to always communicate, especially since we had a lot of extreme heat and bad weather days that pushed back some of the other projects he was working on. I never felt out of the loop. Jim was able to fix issues that the previous owners contractor could not. He was honest and open about the condition of the deck and whether things could be repaired or replaced. His pricing is very reasonable and for the quality of the work, I could not have asked for more. Jim is a very straightforward person and his honesty and responsiveness is something I find lacking in more and more contractors these days. I definitely plan to have Jim back when his schedule lightens up to power wash and stain our deck. I also have another project I look forward to working with him again on in the fall. My family and I are very happy with our deck now as everything is fixed and solid! Now, we can enjoy it for the rest of the summer.
